General description
Aïssa Dione has been dedicated for many years to the development of craftsmanship in West Africa, primarily in the field of Textile Arts. Its goal is to demonstrate that endogenous economic development is possible by using local resources, both material and human, and by linking traditional know-how with industrial skills. Thus, the company’s philosophy is to enhance West African-grown cotton through the vehicle of contemporary design. To achieve this, the idea was to unite and formalize these activities into a structured enterprise, promoting a type of "soft" industry to merge ART, Design, and Industry.
